UCC RFC does Relay for Life!
Relay for life is a 24 hour event that brings together the whole of UCC to celebrate the lives of cancer survivors, remember those lost to the disease and increase awareness about the disease. Relay for Life UCC is part of the Irish Cancer Society’s Relay for Life Programme and is a fun way to raise funds for vital research and other services to help tackle the disease. The UCC Rugby Club is showing its team spirit by taking part in this year’s relay with club members donating money and completing laps of the track for the duration of the 24 hour period. It is a night of entertainment, remembrance and comradery with a wide variety of events taking place throughout the night including musicians, the Candle for Hope ceremony and the Midnight Cup. It is sure to be an enjoyable way of raising vital funds for an extremely worthy cause.
